Mixtape

Ah…the homemade Mixtape! The Mixtape has been around since the 70s, but for the children of the eighties, the Mixtape became a portal into another world - a world filled with rhythmic drum beats underlying verses of poetic truths filled with alliteration, metaphors, allegories and similes among other literary devices. The Mixtape has lived through the invention of compact discs all the way to our modern day digital playlists. The way we share them is different, but the reasons we share them are the same. To this day, artists are still paying homage to the essence of the Mixtape and what it means to the culture of music. This is our humble contribution to that ever thriving culture.
